Genealogy is the study of one's family history and ancestry. The genealogy collection consists of materials to guide patrons on how to conduct family history research to providing access to a variety of resources. In particular the library has an extensive collection of valuable materials created by the local branch of the Ontario Genealogy Society. The library also subscribes to Ancestry Library Edition (in-library use only) and offers workshops on introductory genealogy.

Genealogy research services are available (subject to a fee $30/hour) including obituary or article lookups. Reference service to the collection is also available.
